Takes the two Ubuntu updates #1689 left out of #116.
Dockerfile.ci:ubuntu:26.04.libfreetype6-devis nowlibfreetype-dev.libxml2is dropped: the hermetic-llvm toolchain (Move the C/C++ and Rust toolchains to hermetic-llvm and rules_rs #1526) is statically linked, so thelibxml2.so.2loader failure behind ci image: pin ubuntu 24.04 and install libxml2 explicitly #1525 can't recur.docker_lib_ubuntu: 26.04 digest, now tagged26.04so Renovate tracks the release. C++ binaries link against glibc 2.28 stubs, so the newer runtime glibc is fine.Validation: PR CI normally runs on
ci-base:latest, which only rebuilds frommain. Two TEMP commits, now reverted, made this PR test itself. One builtci-base:claude-great-gauss-lqkl3ifrom this branch (run). The other pointed the CI containers at it. Every check passed on that image at 9a2fb9a, including build-and-test and asan/ubsan/tsan. The head's own CI is back on:latest(24.04). On merge, the push tomainrebuilds:latestfrom this Dockerfile.Locally:
bazel test //...inside the 26.04 image passes 283/283.Not affected: the
manualgraphics targets (sdl3/raylib via rules_foreign_cc) fail identically on 24.04 and 26.04, and failed before #1689 too (#1524 item 2).Merge note: squash concatenates commit subjects, so trim the TEMP/Revert lines from the merge message. The
ci-base:claude-great-gauss-lqkl3ipackage tag can be deleted after merge.Review panel: not run.
