WalkthroughThe change adds signed reputation attestations and a Telegram export flow. It adds identity and rating validation, account eligibility and binding checks, localized responses, and bot startup integration. Tests cover attestation vectors, export handling, rate limiting, and sunset-mode behavior. ChangesReputation export
Priority: ➖ Normal Estimated code review effort: 3 (Moderate) | ~25 minutes Suggested reviewers: Merge Risk: 🔵 Low · up to The new Mostro reputation export works on the normal path. If an internal error occurs, the user gets no reply, and the Persian text uses a confusing word for "reputation". The change is mergeable, with small follow-ups recommended. 🚥 Pre-merge checks | ✅ 5✅ Passed checks (5 passed)

Phase 6, PR 6.2 of the Mostro reputation portability plan. A Mostro client opens t.me/<bot>?start=rep_<identity> (the identity as 43 base64url characters). The bot checks eligibility, asks the user to confirm the identity as an npub before a first binding, binds the account to it with an atomic conditional update, and answers with a reputation attestation (kind 38388) signed with REPUTATION_ISSUER_SK, sent as its own message so it can be copied whole into the app. An account already bound to the identity is re-issued straight away; one bound to another identity is refused. The handlers are registered ahead of sunset mode's catch-all notice, and sunset mode connects to MongoDB when an issuer key is configured, since retiring the bot is when users need this. Texts in every locale. Tested against the protocol's vectors (the built attestation matches the vector's id byte for byte), and with a mocked account store, including two concurrent confirmations of which exactly one binds. In a group, anyone could press the confirm button shown for `/start rep_…` and bind their own account to an identity someone else chose. Leave the link to the rest of the bot outside private chats and acknowledge, but ignore, a confirm button pressed there. The rate limiter dropped a confirm press within a second of the /start that showed it, so the button now has its own limiter bucket. Drive updates through initialize() with SUNSET_MODE on: /start rep_ and its confirm button reach the export, pressed back to back; any other update, a link sent in a group, and a link with no issuer key set get the sunset notice; without a database connection the link answers that export is unavailable. Outside sunset mode the link behaves the same. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com> Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01E4t8avpoStb19ERrS77V2m

Send a best-effort reputation_unavailable reply when a step of the export flow throws, so the user is not left without an answer (e.g. bound on confirm but issuing failed). The confirm path keeps replying only in private chats. Use the file's established Persian term for "reputation" in the new keys. What changes and why
This is phase 6, PR 6.2 of the Mostro reputation portability plan. It is stacked on #932 (6.1). The protocol side is MostroP2P/protocol#74, "Issuance" and "Telegram hand-off".
The flow.
A Mostro client opens
https://t.me/<bot>?start=rep_<identity>. The identity is the user's Mostro key, written as 43 characters of unpadded base64url, so the start parameter stays within Telegram's 64-character cap.The bot reads the account from the Telegram user who sent the command, never from the link. It checks eligibility (6.1) and refuses with a message if the account does not qualify.
First binding. The bot shows the identity as an
npubwith a confirm button, and nothing is recorded until the user presses it. On confirm, a conditionalfindOneAndUpdatebinds the account: it matches only ifreputation_exported_tois empty or already equal to that identity. Of two concurrent confirmations, exactly one wins.Issue. The bot signs an attestation with
REPUTATION_ISSUER_SK:subjectis the user's internal id, never the Telegram id;total_reviews,total_ratingand the first trade day;The bot replies with the figures, then with the attestation JSON as a message of its own, with no formatting, so it can be copied whole into the app.
Later requests.
npub. Moving the binding is 6.3.Sunset mode. This is the one feature a retiring bot keeps, and its main real-world case.
REPUTATION_ISSUER_SK,/start rep_…gets the sunset notice like any other update.REPUTATION_ISSUER_SKstops the bot at startup.Private chats only. The binding is accepted only in the user's private chat with the bot. A
/start rep_…sent in a group is left to the rest of the bot (the sunset notice, in sunset mode), and a confirm button pressed in a group is acknowledged and ignored. Otherwise any group member could press the button and bind their own account to an identity someone else chose.Rate limiter. The confirm button gets its own
@grammyjs/ratelimiterbucket (limiterKey). Without it, a press within a second of the/startthat showed it was silently dropped.Texts. Seven new keys, translated in all ten locales.
Deviation. The plan says the bot replies with "a button that opens the client's deep link". Telegram URL buttons only accept http(s) and tg:// links, not an app scheme. So the attestation travels as a copyable message instead, which the plan already describes for desktop and web.
Tests
tests/bot/modules/reputation.spec.ts, 13 cases. The protocol vectors are copied totests/fixtures/reputation_v1.json./start rep_…and the confirm button are taken, and anything else is passed on;/start.tests/bot/sunset.spec.tsdrives updates throughinitialize():SUNSET_MODEon and the issuer key set,/start rep_…and the confirm button, pressed back to back, reach the export and issue an attestation;Manual testing
Not run yet against Telegram. The round trip with a Mostro client comes with the client PRs (mobile 5.3, app 5b.2).
