Introduction

This shows how to connect the different sensors

Details

Index

Boost

The Boost Sensor is attached on KL7 on the MD03 Print

Pins on KL7:

Pin Function
1 5V
2 Boost Signal 2
3 Boost Signal1
4 Ground

Typ K

Remember to calibrate your TypK circuit: Build a Kit V2

The thermocouples are connectet to K6 and K7

K7 only supplys ground, so the white wire goes here from the thermocouple.

Pins on K6: (green wire). Pin 1 directs to the VDO connectors.

Pin Function
1 Thermocouple 0
2 Thermocouple 1
3 Thermocouple 2
4 Thermocouple 3
5 Thermocouple 4
6 Thermocouple 5
7 Thermocouple 6
8 Thermocouple 7

Air mass / RPM / Throttle / Lambda

They are connectet to KL9

Pins on KL9:

Pin Function for #define VR6_MOTRONIC Function for #define DIGIFANT
1 Air mass (0-5V) idle switch (red-blue cable)
2 RPM (Injector, 12V) RPM ECU pin 24 out -> dashboard (green-yellow cable)
3 Throttle (0-5V) WOT switch (blue-black cable)
4 Lambda Lambda

Lambda can be small band or wideband signal from Innovate LC1 / PLX SM-AFR. Please set the desired define in MultidisplayDefines.h

#define LAMBDA_WIDEBAND
#define LAMBDA_PLX_SMAFR
//#define LAMBDA_PLX_INNOVATE_LC1

VDO Sensors

They are connected from KL1 to KL6

all have the same Layout:

Pins on KL1-6:

Pin Function
1 Ground
2 Signal (Resistance against Ground)

Borg Warner EFR Speed Sensor

connect it directly to the Seeeduino Mega's pin 49.

K-Line

connect to K20 Pin 2 K-Line on V2-md01 ( pin 1 is on the left if pcb writings on the pcb are readable )

  • digifant 1 ecu: K-Line is on ecu pin 20

Speed

connect speed signal to K10 Pin 3 on V2-md01 ( pin 1 is on the left if pcb writings on the pcb are readable )

  • VAG cars: use GALA signal blue-white cable
