A native macOS menu bar app to control the Wahoo KICKR Headwind fan over Bluetooth.

Get the latest build from the Releases page.
- Open github.com/vvrnv/wahoo-headwind-controller/releases
- Download the latest
WahooHeadwindController.dmg(or.zip) under Assets - Open the DMG and drag WahooHeadwindController to Applications
- Launch the app from Applications — allow Bluetooth when macOS asks
- If the app is blocked as unsigned: right-click the app → Open → confirm once
- Launch WahooHeadwindController
- Click the wind icon in the menu bar
- Press Connect (searches for a device named
HEADWIND) - Adjust speed and power
Disconnect and Quit send an off command to the fan before closing the Bluetooth link.
Enable Launch at login to start the app when you sign in. On first enable, macOS may ask you to approve it under System Settings → General → Login Items.
This app runs in the menu bar only (no Dock icon). To exit:
- Click the menu bar icon → Quit (or press ⌘Q while the panel is open)
- If multiple copies are stuck, force-quit all of them in Terminal:
killall WahooHeadwindControllerOnly one instance can run at a time. If you launch the app again while it is already running, the existing copy is brought forward and the new one exits automatically.
- While this app is connected to the fan, the official Wahoo app on the same Mac may not connect at the same time
