Repository files navigation

This project implements a habit tracker, to be precise: a workout tracker

Functionality

*Saving workouts*
Saves pasted formatted text into Json file with name of the file composed from workout type and date when it was performed.
*Listing workouts*
Consequently it also allows reading saved workouts, listing all sets of each exercise with reps and working weight.
In the end lists all muscles involved in this workout.
*Comparing workouts*
The program lists shared exercises from two workouts of the specified types.
Dates can be provided in ambiguous order, the less recent one will be considered as a benchmark
(weight increase/decrease will be written accordingly)

User interactions

User can interact with program either through GUI (launching gui.py) or through CLI (launching main.py).
Both interactions are straightforward:
    *GUI*
User has text fields for dates, dropdowns for workout types and buttons for listing and comparing,
operation results will be listed in the bottom text pannel.
Saving workout in GUI is done through big text field on the left.
In it user has to paste his wokrout notes and click "save" button.
Information about heaviest sets will appear in the bottom part of the window.
If anything went wrong during execution, the warning windows will appear notifying about errors.
    *CLI*
User has to choose in steps what he wants to be selected by inputting numbers in specified range.
In general functionality is the same as in the GUI.
User can save new workout by following instructions in the CLI, list previous workouts and compare existing ones.

Implementation and assumptions

Most important assumption for correct work of the program is that workouts are written in the same format.
Additional whitespaces or words can be written, but will be excluded from the resulting Json.
As Enum with exercises is written in English, exercise type can only be deduced automatically if workout follows same naming convention.
Otherwise muscles involved into exercise will not be included into Json.
Also for comparison of exercises both exercises being compared have to have same exercise names.
The order doesn't matter, but naming matters, as otherwise these would be considered to be differrent exercises.
