🚨 Severity: HIGH
πŸ’‘ Vulnerability: Missing Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) on sensitive endpoints. Authenticated users (e.g., viewers) could access endpoints to modify .env config, delete risk rules, or update ticket statuses and assignments without proper authorization.
🎯 Impact: An attacker with low privileges could alter system configuration, potentially escalating privileges, disabling security rules, or falsifying vulnerability ticket statuses.
πŸ”§ Fix: Created restricted sub-groups using middleware.RequireRole to enforce RBAC. Settings mutations are restricted to admin, and ticket updates to admin and analyst.
βœ… Verification: Ensure tests pass via make test. Validated that sensitive routes apply the required middleware rules.
