The files available in this dataset comprise the "Public Extract", which "includes all publicly available crash data." Per TxDOT, "all personally identifiable information has been excluded from this file and the file is available to the public upon request." Records date to 2010, the earliest year for which data appeared to be available. The source files were decompressed from .7zip using Keka. With the exception of the "lookup" file, the decompressed source files were merged by year using Python and Pandas. The "lookup" records were merged into a single file, regardless of year, and duplicate records were removed. · GitHub
