Clipture combines everyday screen capture tools and local clipboard history in one desktop app. It can capture regions or windows, assemble scrolling screenshots, annotate images, recognize text locally, pin captures above other windows, and search previously copied text, images, and files. On macOS, it also records a selected region to MP4 or GIF and preserves editable capture history.

- Color picking and pinned image windows
- Region recording to MP4 or animated GIF on macOS
- Editable capture history with original pixels and annotation layers on macOS
- Searchable local clipboard history for text, images, and file lists

- Download the latest DMG from the official website or GitHub Releases.
- Drag Clipture into Applications.
- Open Clipture and grant Screen Recording when macOS asks. Accessibility is needed only for automatic scrolling and direct paste from clipboard history.
- Open Clipture in Microsoft Store.
- Select Install. Microsoft Store chooses the correct x64 or ARM64 package, verifies it, and keeps it updated automatically.
See Installation and permissions for details.
The signed macOS app includes a structured CLI and Codex skill for capture, annotation, current clipboard reads and writes, searchable local clipboard history, health checks, and verified installation. Interactive workflows such as scrolling capture, pinning, Live Text, and color picking remain available through the app UI. See Agent interface for installation and JSON examples.
Screenshots, annotations, OCR, and clipboard history are processed locally on the current device. Clipture does not upload captured content. Optional anonymous feature-use counts can be disabled in Settings.
