Nigerian Laws Repository

A professional, structured collection of Nigerian primary legal authorities
Optimized for research, professional study, and Agentic AI/RAG ingestion.

Overview

The Nigerian Laws Repository is a centralized, high-fidelity knowledge base of Nigerian statutes and procedural rules. Every document is meticulously formatted in Markdown to ensure maximum readability for humans and seamless parsing for automated systems.

Provenance & Digital Stewardship

This repository is more than a simple collection of texts. It represents a significant editorial and technical effort to:

  • Digitize primary authorities from physical and PDF sources.
  • Structure legal text into machine-readable Markdown.
  • Anchor every section and sub-section for precise graph-based retrieval.
  • Normalize OCR errors and formatting inconsistencies found in original source material.

This digital corpus is curated and maintained as a professional contribution to the Nigerian legal technology ecosystem.

  1. Structural Integrity — Maintaining the original hierarchy of sections, parts, and chapters.
  2. Plain-Text Accessibility — Removing the friction of PDFs while retaining official legal formatting.
  3. Machine Readiness — Structured specifically for LLM tokenization, vector embedding, and RAG pipelines.
