…y (78 values) The JRC EF 3.1 table lists two global rows with different values for 182 flow-method pairs (171 land use, 11 water use); the import used to keep the first. Now: water keeps the 42.95 family (intake and return cancel), land keeps the value that the SimaPro EF 3.1 adapted export confirms (symmetric from/to pairs, e.g. arable non-irrigated +/-501.91; bare forest 21.463). Regenerated by sentier-importers fix/ef-cf-global-duplicates. Decision 2026-09-14.

data/01-ef-3.1/characterization-factors.parquetfrom sentier-importers (companion PR there:fix/ef-cf-global-duplicates). Same 319,393 rows and keys; 78 values change, all at global level (no location), 76 land use and 2 water use.Why
The official JRC EF 3.1 table carries, for 182 flow-method pairs, two global rows with different values (water 42.95 vs 37.8; land e.g.
from arable, non-irrigated-501.91 vs -365.6 whileto arable, non-irrigated+365.6 vs +501.91). The import kept whichever row came first, which produced asymmetric land transformation pairs (32 of 57) and water intake 37.8 against return -42.955, so hydropower and cooling water netted negative and annual crops flipped sign. Found by a parity check of the Brightway loader against BAFU's published EF 3.1 results.Rule now applied (documented in the importer)
forest= SimaProforest, unspecified21.463); the arbiter must equal one JRC candidate exactly, never the nearest; 0 pairs fell to the last-resort rule. Every from/to pair present is symmetric.Country-level rows untouched.
