Held: do not merge until the owner's go. This PR replaces the README in #2 and should merge in place of it. It is released together with the hosting config in paiteq/seatmap#1136, the base path deploy, and the seatlayer.io /demo/sdk/* proxy.

What changes

  • Design. Every SDK demo shares one frame, matching seatlayer.io/demo: a light SeatLayer demos header (Hosted · SDK · Charts & 3D, Docs, GitHub, Start free), breadcrumbs, a switcher tile row with all five SDK demos, a Try-it strip, the demo at full width (740px tall), "Copy this code" (sample, source file, docs), and a next-demo link.
  • Routes. /seat-picker, /best-available, /season-tickets (was /season), /multiple-events (was /events), /checkout-handoff (now the live own-cart flow: hold → server reads it back → book). / lists the demos. /control-room and /html are still there but no longer in the menu.
  • Fixes to the public pages.
    • Prices follow NEXT_PUBLIC_SEATLAYER_CURRENCY, which now defaults to EUR.
    • The season offer no longer shows invented $ prices.
    • The renewal-offer form is gone from the screen; createRenewalIntent is explained in components/SeasonFlow.tsx and the README.
    • The duplicated side panel is gone.
  • Base path. Optional SEATLAYER_BASE_PATH, set at both build and start. next.config.mjs passes it to the browser, and fetch() calls go through withBase(). With no config, a fork still runs at /.
  • Hosted examples. examples/hosted/*.html holds the event tag, the collection, the season card and the run-of-shows card. hosted/ holds the matching React components (SeatLayerEvent, SeatLayerCollection, BookingCard), which load each script once and scan again after a client-side route change.
  • Hosting config removed. wrangler.jsonc, open-next.config.ts, public/_headers, the deploy scripts and the @opennextjs/cloudflare and wrangler deps now live in paiteq/seatmap#1136.
  • README for customers. The first line is the live demos link. Then Hosted (one tag), then SDK, where to find each key, and how to run it locally.

Checks

  • npx tsc --noEmit passes.
  • npm run build passes at / and with SEATLAYER_BASE_PATH=/demo/sdk.
  • scripts/check-routes.mjs against npm start with test keys: all 16 route loads pass (8 routes, each with and without ?embed=1).

Every demo page now has the same frame: a light SeatLayer demos header
(Hosted, SDK, Charts & 3D), breadcrumbs, a switcher showing all five SDK
demos, a Try-it strip, the demo at full width, the code to copy with its
source file and docs, and a link to the next demo.

- Routes: seat-picker, best-available, season-tickets (was /season),
multiple-events (was /events) and checkout-handoff, which now runs the own
cart flow with the server steps. / lists the five demos.
- Prices follow NEXT_PUBLIC_SEATLAYER_CURRENCY, which now defaults to EUR.
- The renewal-offer form and the duplicated side panel are gone from the
screen. Renewal intent is explained in components/SeasonFlow.tsx.
- Control room and Plain HTML are no longer in the menu; both routes remain.
- SEATLAYER_BASE_PATH (optional) serves the app under a sub-path. fetch()
calls go through withBase() so they follow it.
examples/hosted/ has copy-paste pages for one event, a collection of dates,
a season card and a run-of-shows card. hosted/ has React components that
render the same tags (SeatLayerEvent, SeatLayerCollection, BookingCard) and
load each script once, scanning again after a client-side route change.
wrangler.jsonc, open-next.config.ts, public/_headers and the deploy scripts
only served our own copy of the demos. This repository is example code for
your app: npm run build and npm start run it on any Node host.
Starts with the live demos at seatlayer.io/demo, then the one-tag Hosted
integration, the SDK routes, where to find each key in the dashboard, and how
to run the app locally. .env.example points at the same places and documents
SEATLAYER_BASE_PATH.
