HalitePact

Salt cavern gas storage leases are worth nine figures and tracked in Excel — not anymore.

HalitePact is the only platform built specifically for managing underground salt cavern natural gas storage leases, capacity auction bids, and FERC Part 284 regulatory filings. It tracks solution-mining phase completions, cavern mechanical integrity test certs, and injection/withdrawal scheduling across multi-operator facilities with full audit trails. Energy storage infrastructure is about to get insanely complex with the energy transition and this is the software that was always supposed to exist but nobody built because the incumbents were too busy golfing.

Features

  • Full lease lifecycle management from exploration permit through decommissioning, with configurable milestone alerts
  • Capacity auction bid tracking across 14 distinct bid structures including seasonal, interruptible, and firm service tranches
  • Native FERC Part 284 filing workflows with automatic form population and submission-ready PDF export
  • Mechanical integrity test certificate registry with expiration tracking and PHMSA compliance cross-referencing
  • Injection/withdrawal scheduling engine with multi-operator conflict resolution — no more phone calls to sort it out

Supported Integrations

Quorum Business Solutions, P2 Energy Solutions, FERC eFiling API, EnergyLink, Enverus, TankBase Pro, CavSched, SCADA Direct, Salesforce Energy Cloud, IHS Markit, PipelineML, RegulatoryVault

Architecture

HalitePact runs on a microservices architecture deployed on AWS, with each domain — leases, auctions, filings, scheduling — owned by an isolated service communicating over a hardened internal event bus. All transactional data lives in MongoDB because the document model maps naturally to the chaotic, non-uniform structure of cavern lease instruments. Redis handles long-term certificate and audit record storage where query performance matters more than anything else. The frontend is a single-page React application that talks exclusively to a versioned GraphQL gateway — no REST, no exceptions.
