Proof

A math and science practice and study site, from Elementary math through Pre-Calculus, Physics, Chemistry and SAT/ACT Math, plus subjects you make yourself.

Live site: https://richardpappous.github.io/ProofApp/

Features

  • Subjects: Elementary, Middle School, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, Physics, Chemistry, and SAT/ACT Math (test-style multiple choice and grid-ins)
  • Practice problems: new problems every time, at Easy, Medium, or Hard, with word problems and diagrams where they help
  • Hints and worked steps for every problem
  • Tests: quick knowledge checks, custom tests built from chosen topics, and timed tests you can resume
  • Progress tracking: mastery by topic, spaced review of missed problems, a daily goal and streak, and a session recap
  • Terms and formulas for each subject, with flip-card flashcards, a study mode and a flashcard test
  • Your own subjects: open-ended and multiple-choice questions, flashcards and pictures, shareable with a short code
  • Multiple students on one device, with backup and restore
  • Periodic table for Chemistry, with search and the current problem's elements highlighted
  • Works on phones (it can be added to the home screen like an app), works offline after the first visit, and has a dark mode

How it works

The whole site is a single index.html file with no server and no sign-in. Progress is saved in your browser on your device. A small service worker (sw.js) keeps a copy for offline use.

About this project

I designed the features and tested the site with real users, finding and fixing bugs along the way. I built it with an AI coding assistant (Claude).
