Adding History

What's the problem or gap?
I'd like to migrate from another tracker by back dating my history so that my progress is current.

Describe your idea
When planting a seed, have an option to fill in previous calendar dates as completed, so that you continue your tracking using this app

Why does it fit Grove?
This is a great and polished app, it deserves as many opportunities for new users as possible. Without this, you are eliminating some new users before they've even started.

Alternatives you've considered
The alternative is to only accept users that are starting their journey with you.

I've just seen a closed chat that kind of covers it, but doing it this way leaves a relapse count of 1, which would be incorrect?
Would it be possible to add a button next to the relapse button for start point which does the same with a correct tally?

I've set up a seed with abstain mode and used the calendar to back date my 115 days sober, but by using this method I have go use the relapse button to set a start date.
This gives me the 115 days count I'm after, but it also puts a mark against relapse.
Its not really a relapse, its a start point.

A relapse means you have broken the rules you have set yourself. Its important to me that I don't do that. I'm giving myself no excused days.

Something similar to check-in but in abstain mode would work, but the only thing it would tally up would be days, time counted and streak. Not relapse.

Thanks for the clarification I understand now what you mean! It sounds like a good idea I will look further into implementing it and it will hopefully come in the upcoming versions.
