automatic backup or export function #28

What's the problem or gap?
currently a backup can be generated manually in the settings menu. the possibility for an automatic backup e.g. daily or every 3rd day is lacking.

Why does it fit Grove?
automatic backup is much more comfortable then a manual.

Additional context
I am using the app in german. Maybe it's not "backup" but a similar term in the English version.

Thanks for your interest in Grove! This feature is definitely possible without needing any network permissions (it can all be done locally). It would probably require you to choose a set day and time, e.g. every week at 12:00pm. I'll experiment with it and get back to you soon :)

Sorry for the long wait I have been having some trouble finding a reliable way to implement the automatic backup feature but if you or anyone has any ideas about how to tackle this or can provide some examples in
