I study how the brain computes the mind — building mechanistic models of cortical circuits that bridge molecular biophysics, dynamical systems theory, and cognition. I lead the Computational Neuroscience & Neural Computation group at the Center for Neuroscience and Cell Biology, University of Coimbra.
