History selection now uses a reusable supplied-candidate picker boundary. Native remains the default composer search; explicitly configured fzf or Television return one validated candidate into the composer, without execution. Missing, incompatible or failing tools fall back to Native.
External pickers receive inert ordinal rows and argv only. fzf environment bindings/default commands are removed; Television receives temporary isolated configuration/cable/data directories with preview and remote channels disabled. Input/output/time limits bound the adapter. The host releases its renderer/raw input and restores them in finally on accept, cancel, resize and error. Resize cancels selection and preserves the draft. Config exposes truthful detection without installation.
Dependency: #236; merge after it. Refs #145. #52 stays parked.
Validation: build, typecheck, git diff --check, full suite (699 passed), focused handoff/error/stale-result tests, and installed fzf noninteractive transport test. Television is absent locally; contract tests use a fake provider. Node 22/26 cumulative CI is dispatched separately. Physical Ghostty/Terminal.app keyboard, resize and external-tool QA remains pending. External tools own their own presentation during the handoff.
