Completion rows now display descriptions, candidate categories/source-provided groups and Nerd/Safe icons through existing palette/Chroma helpers. Narrow terminals prioritize the candidate. Up/Down navigate, Tab inserts, and Escape dismisses; insertion never executes. ScreenPlan continues to own placement for Bottom, Top and Flow.
Native capture queries a token parent context and caches at most 32 contexts for two seconds. Subsequent typing fuzzy-filters locally. Buffer/cwd changes clear old rows immediately; generation checks prevent stale results, including A→B→A races.
Depends on #233; merge order follows its prerequisite. Do not merge during milestone development.
Validation: build/typecheck, focused model/menu/keyboard/layout/cancellation tests and full suite pass with inherited NO_COLOR removed; diff check and benchmark TypeScript check pass. 500-candidate filtering: p50 0.06ms / p95 0.13ms. Cold native capture measured 227ms (Git) and 84ms (commands), asynchronous with bounded execution; the cold path exceeds the investigation target and is explicitly documented.
Physical QA pending: descriptions/categories, rapid typing, keyboard selection/cancel, narrow widths, Safe glyphs, NO_COLOR, Bottom/Top/Flow and Chat. Existing whitespace-based replacement behavior for complex quoting remains a limitation; no configured-zsh parity or fzf-tab claim.
