v0.12 cumulative presentation hardening #276
Description
Stack above #275. Fix reviewed Ctrl+C/shell execution priority, propagate persisted motion controls to existing task progress, reconcile welcome subscription after ownership/preferences change. Audit renderer error cleanup, no-canvas effects, custom configuration preservation, timer demand, deterministic behavior, six layouts and persistence boundaries. Add regression tests and presentation benchmarks. Canonical verification and Node 22/26 CI; physical QA deferred, no merge or release.

v0.12 implementation is available as an unmerged stack; physical QA remains intentionally deferred. Research parents and milestone remain open.
Review order: #271 frozen base → #273 treatments → #275 effects/shared clock → #277 hardening → #278 acceptance.

No merges, tags or releases.Automated verification: 858/858 cumulative tests, build/typecheck/diff-check, benchmark-script typing, no helper processes/private test roots, zero presentation timer/subscription leftovers. Node 22/26 CI passed on all implementation layers; final-head CI is linked from #278. One local sticky-header worker stall was stopped and recorded; isolated 13/13 and cumulative timeout-bounded rerun passed. Physical host quality is not claimed.
Human handoff: additive v0.12 checklist. On Ghostty and Terminal.app, try Lavender/Aurora/Theme, Advanced geometry/motion, Reduced Motion, Effects Off, NO_COLOR/256 and Safe glyphs; Native Minimal/Outline, history dividers and Settings frame; all Bottom/Top/Flow × Normal/Chat combinations. Run
/effects sparkles top,/effects rain bottom, Escape and/effects stop; resize/retrigger; immediately submitsleep 10and Ctrl+C; enter/exit an existing fullscreen app. Expect faithful shell/copy/journal data, visible focus, cancellation at ownership boundaries and restoration of the current underlying screen.Limits: animated treatment currently targets live rules; Native modules/history/panels are static, custom stops are JSON-edited, and effects use only eligible gaps/rules. Do not merge this stack or close physical-QA issues without separate authorization and recorded human results.

Implemented on the v0.16 branch (PR #303,
feature/v016-platform-portability-agents). Cumulative presentation hardening for the Chroma stack. It was part of the integrated build the maintainer physically validated in the earlier v0.16 QA pass; closing with the implementation.
