Goal
Make a growing NMSh settings experience discoverable while preserving a polished default view and exposing deeper control when requested.
Desired behavior
- Searchable global settings registry with categories or tabs.
- Changed-from-default indicator and reset-current-setting action.
- Remembered position and search state where useful.
- Contextual descriptions/help and live preview when safe.
- Simple view for meaningful high-level choices; advanced view for detailed geometry, fills, gradients, motion and provider settings.
Define how settings compose with shared controls and actions. Undo is explicitly not required for v1.
