Final changes before tagging v1.6.0, which the Shibboleth plugin 1.4.0 will pin.

  • OkHttp 5.4.0 via okhttp-jvm. OkHttp 5 is a Kotlin Multiplatform release; the plain okhttp artifact only carries metadata, so Maven builds need the -jvm artifact (this is why Bump com.squareup.okhttp3:okhttp from 4.12.0 to 5.5.0 #87 failed to compile). okio-jvm is now declared directly so 3.18.2 wins over the 3.17.0 that okhttp-jvm pulls in. Supersedes Bump com.squareup.okhttp3:okhttp from 4.12.0 to 5.5.0 #87.
  • java-jwt is only used by TestJWT, so it is now test-scoped (bumped to 4.6.1). Neither it nor the Jackson libraries it pulls in are part of the client's dependency tree anymore; the Jackson modules used by the tests are aligned via jackson-bom 2.22.3.
  • Changelog: 1.6.0 dated 1 October 2026, including the kotlin-stdlib 2.4.0 / okio 3.18.2 updates merged today.

All 76 tests pass locally (Java 21), and the plugin's 35 tests pass against this build.

java-jwt is only used by TestJWT, so it no longer becomes a compile/runtime dependency of the client. Bumped to 4.6.1, with the Jackson modules it pulls in aligned via jackson-bom 2.22.3.
OkHttp 5 is published as Kotlin Multiplatform: the plain okhttp artifact only carries metadata, so Maven builds need okhttp-jvm (which is why Dependabot PR #87 failed to compile). Declaring okio-jvm directly keeps 3.18.2 instead of the 3.17.0 okhttp-jvm would pull in.
