Several instructions in the sandbox README and agent rules guides no longer matched VS Code's MCP config format or the public Plaid API docs, so agents following them would write broken config or incorrect integration code.

  • sandbox/README.md: VS Code mcp.json uses top-level inputs/servers (opened via MCP: Open User Configuration), not an mcp wrapper; the dev debug step now runs from sandbox.
  • rules/transfer_guide.md: Transfer webhooks are registered on the Dashboard Webhooks page, not the Link token webhook field (Reconciling transfers); /transfer/event/sync after_id is required (start at 0), event_id is an integer, event_type values are lowercase, and the list now includes the missing values (API reference).
  • rules/transactions_guide.md: the sync loop handles added/modified/removed and persists the cursor after the final page; replaced "retry on PRODUCT_NOT_READY" since /transactions/sync returns an empty cursor instead (migration guide).
  • rules/signal_guide.md: only access_token, account_id, client_transaction_id, and amount are required for /signal/evaluate.
  • tool_simulate_webhook.py: references the registered search_documentation tool instead of a nonexistent ask_bill tool, and drops TRANSACTIONS_REMOVED/HISTORICAL_UPDATE, which /sandbox/item/fire_webhook can't fire (reference).

The VS Code config example, debug path, Transfer event/webhook, Transactions sync loop, Signal required fields, and simulate_webhook tool description disagreed with current VS Code and Plaid docs.
