This version corrects a regression introduced in 5.0.1.

Version 5.0.1: Phoenix

This is the first release in 10 years. I was spurred back into action by the fact that Python 3.14 detects a long-standing bug that causes applications to fail. However, it is also time that this library was shown some more care.

The Version 5 branch incorporates some improvements contributed by users over the last 10 years, for which I am very grateful.
