Summary

  • Adds a reusable GitHub Actions workflow and composite action for generating CycloneDX SBOMs for LabVIEW projects using vipm sbom
  • Implements SBOM generation in a Linux container with automated LabVIEW version validation, execution, output verification, and artifact upload
  • Exposes Invoke-GenerateSbom dispatcher in the open-source action module for programmatic invocation
  • Includes comprehensive documentation, developer tests, and usage examples for both workflow and action consumption

Requirement(s)

  • REQ-042: Workflow tests the composite action defined in generate-sbom/action.yml on the GitHub-hosted Ubuntu runner labeled ubuntu-latest

Testing

  • Invoke-Pester tests/pester/GenerateSbom.Workflow.Tests.ps1
  • Validate action.yml exists
  • Validate implementation script exists
  • Confirm Linux LabVIEW container flow integration
  • Test dry-run with required parameters only
  • Test dry-run with all parameters

Add LVVersion/MinimumSupportedLVVersion, LVBitness/SupportedBitness, and
Build_Spec aliases to Invoke-GenerateSbom so the shared dispatcher payload
in Dispatcher.DryRun.Tests.ps1 satisfies its mandatory parameters. Relax
ProductName/ProductVersion to optional since no equivalent field exists in
the repo-wide dispatcher payload. Regenerate dispatchers.json and
artifacts/linux/* to match.
# Conflicts:
#	actions/OpenSourceActions.psd1
#	requirements.json
