🛠️ Changes Proposed
REA gives Codex a local stdio MCP interface to reverse-engineering tools for native binaries, JavaScript/Electron apps, and .NET assemblies. It retains evidence provenance and analysis limitations. Native deep analysis needs separately installed Hopper, Ghidra, or IDA.
📈 Proof of Traction
REA had 37,833 GitHub stars at preparation on 2026-10-09 and is actively maintained. It is MIT licensed.
Codex integration is implemented and documented in installation instructions: REA has a
codexsetup/doctor client profile and supports local stdio MCP registration. I did not change the current user's Codex configuration during this listing task.✅ Quick Check
Validation: checked the project and installation links, contribution rules, relevant category, existing entries/submissions, and
git diff --check. Ran the publishedrea-agents@6.1.0CLI against a small local Electron fixture, then connected an MCP SDK client to its stdio server and successfully calledanalyze_javascript_application, receiving structured evidence. No new real Hopper/Ghidra/IDA verification was performed for this listing. I maintain REA.
