As best as I can tell, there is no automatic way to determine if a certificate is invalid, when ignoreHTTPSErrors is set to true.
In an actual browser, even if you allow and visit a site with an invalid SSL certificate, the browser will still display an indicator that the site is insecure.

In many cases, it may be desirable with automation to visit a site with an invalid SSL certificate, and simply note this fact.
