What is SNES9x Next?

SNES9x Next is an emulator that runs games made for the following systems:

• Super Nintendo Entertainment System / Super Famicom

Runs on

SNES9x Next runs on the following systems:

• PlayStation3 (Custom firmware/Jailbreak)
• Nintendo Wii
• PC (Windows/MacOSX/Linux - x86 and x86_64 - through libsnes)

Based on

SNES9x Next is based on SNES9x, but has been heavily modified/speed hacked to achieve better speed. On PlayStation3, it also supports various features that other SNES9x ports do not have, such as:

• Game Aware Shaders
• Remote network sound (through RSound)
• Border support (through shaders)
