Using the new Firefox profiles

The new Firefox profiles don't exactly match what's found in about:profiles therefore it's not clear to me how to launch links to a specific firefox profile from the new ones. Attaching a screenshot to show which I mean by new profiles vs the old ones in about:profiles:

Where are these stored and how could they be referenced in the config file? Thanks!

To clarify: my goal was to have links from Slack open the Work profile vs. the default one but the issue was that if you use Firefox's new Profiles feature (the one with avatars/colors), only your default profile shows up in profiles.ini (ie. about:profiles) and it's not clear from these UIs where to find the root folder of the other profiles you made in the new UI.

Here's what to do:

1. Open Firefox using the profile you want (click it from the profile picker)
2. Go to about:support
3. Under "Application Basics" → "Profile Folder" → click Show in Finder
4. Copy that folder's full path

Then edit ~/.finicky.js:

Replace the path with the one from step 4. Save, click a link from Slack, confirm it opens in the right profile.

Passing the path

In case it saves anyone else some time, I tried passing the full profile folder as the 'profile' argument in the Finicky config but it doesn't work (because the Launcher looks for a profile name).

Documentation Errors

The homepage does say it works with Firefox profiles, but all the configuration examples and documentation is about Chromium so it's not clear how/whether it's meant to work.

A look at the code

I had a little poke around the Launcher code, which seems to read ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/profiles.ini - but that files changes every time I switch Profiles and never seems to store a reference to both Profiles.

So I wonder if the new profiles uses ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profile Groups/ which contains a bunch of .sqlite files.

Then I ran out of time and stopped looking.
