Latency: I recognize that speed is a top priority for users. Right now, the app is already reasonably fast on high-end Macs, but for most Macs out there, say a base M4 MacBook Air, the performance leaves a lot to be desired.
Quality: Completion quality is just as important as latency, and I'm working on it. That said, I do think completion quality is currently good enough to be useful.
Auto-space: Could you provide an example, or perhaps your predictions.log file?
Ghost text alignment: This is a known issue, and unfortunately, patching apps individually will take a long time and a lot of work. KeyType will improve over time in this area.
@johnbean393 I appreciate the effort you have put into this app. On an M5 MacBook Air, the speeds feel usable; with the Gemma E2E model, I recorded an average latency of 220ms.
I am also dealing with ghost text alignment, as Safari and Word often display it a full row lower and at a different size from the typed text, while suggestions occasionally halt the apps.
