About the PR

New emote category - Targeted Emotes!
Adds three new emotes: Wave At, Look At, and Wink At. These emotes will automatically fill in the name of whatever you were mousing over when you opened the emote wheel.

Why / Balance

Interaction verbs have been wanted for a long time, but the common right-click-dropdown implementation was clunky and cluttery. This is a much smoother version of pretty much the same thing.

Technical details

Added a "Target" parameter to a lot of the upstream emote code. Normal emotes still work as intended, as far as my testing has shown, but still noteworthy.

I'd say worse, mostly because I know a lot of people have certain emotes on the wheel mapped to muscle memory. Constantly changing the size and location of the buttons makes it much harder to do that

I tested it, and the code looks good, well commented. The system is not easy to get, but when you get how it works, it's fine/

not to be prude but i am not tooooo big a fan of 'blows a kiss at' being one of the default emotes considering players may not be comfortable with it... can we replace with salute, or wink, or something adjacent?

would be cool to give these sound effects too. id love to see how 'looks' feels with the blink sfx, and 'waves' with maybe the wield sfx?

I think wink is a good one that also still keeps in the category of being able to be used to be flirty potentially

I like the wink idea, I'll probably replace it with that one

Decided to make things more complicated because im so awesome and wonderful. You can emote at things inside UIs now (worn items, items in your bag, items in rightclick dropdown)
