   Triage (2026-10-01): the duplicate is the rsr-template-repo convention, not a local mistake. rsr-template-repo @ 8256a6e ships .machine_readable/contractiles/Justfile byte-identical to its root Justfile (both blob 78b18ce, 720 lines), and six other RSR-derived repos carry the same pair. Deleting the copy here would diverge from the template, and the next template sync would re-add it. So #183 keeps the copy byte-identical rather than removing it.

   Resolution needs a template-level ruling: either the contractiles copy should be a pointer or removed in rsr-template-repo (then here), or the duplication is intended (then close this issue as by-design). Leaving this issue open for that decision.
