This guest post reflects on my experience contributing to the HydePHP project, particularly during the recent hackathon. It documents the process of debugging failing tests in HydePHP v2.0, the technical insights gained about PHP testing, Laravel's architecture, and the value of comprehensive testing in open source.
The post is intended to be a personal developer story that highlights both the challenges and the growth that comes from contributing to open-source software. It may be used for community documentation, blog features, or shared within the HydePHP or OnlyDust contributor circles to inspire others.
