ThinkScript was an open-source community initiative aimed at empowering newcomers by helping them dive into open-source, learn through hands-on experiences, and grow with the guidance of mentors. Though we officially archived the project in January 2024, the impact of our work continues to live on through the developers, teams, and projects we supported.
ThinkScript was proudly the first student-led tech community in our university, setting a foundation for open learning and collaborative growth.
We:
- Helped newcomers break into open-source by simplifying the onboarding process.
- Offered mentorship programs to develop practical coding skills and build confidence.
- Organized Hackathons, Events, and Workshops to foster creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Created a welcoming, inclusive environment for learners, developers, designers, and mentors alike.
Even though the platform is no longer active, our mission lives on in the people and projects we've helped launch.
During our active years, we built projects using:
- Community First: A collaborative, open environment where everyone belonged.
- Learning by Doing: Real projects, real problems, real solutions.
- Teamwork: Cross-functional teams building, learning, and growing together.
- Mentorship Culture: Experienced developers guiding the next generation.
- Events & Hackathons: Fun, challenging, and rewarding learning experiences.
None of this would have been possible without the dedication, support, and mentorship of some incredible people.
A heartfelt thank you to:
Animesh, Gyan, Saneev Sir, Rakesh Sir, Rashmi Sir, Sujata Mam, Basir, and many others who shaped this journey and made ThinkScript a success.
Your guidance and encouragement built a lasting legacy for our university and the students who followed.
While ThinkScript has now been archived, we encourage everyone to keep building, collaborating, and contributing to open-source projects. The spirit of open learning and community-driven development is timeless.
If you were a part of ThinkScript — whether as a contributor, mentor, or learner — thank you for being part of our journey. Keep paying it forward!
