Summary

Upgrades vulnerable Go dependencies to resolve all open Dependabot alerts:

Alert Severity Package Vulnerable Fixed in
GHSA-2v4p-qf9q-27wj (xDS server DoS) High google.golang.org/grpc < 1.82.2 1.82.2
GHSA-vp52-pcj8-j9qc (HTTP/2 DATA frame OOM) High google.golang.org/grpc <= 1.83.0 1.83.1
GHSA-qc2q-p7wx-3px3 (xDS RBAC header bypass) Medium google.golang.org/grpc <= 1.83.0 1.83.1
GHSA for golang.org/x/net and x/text — golang.org/x/net, golang.org/x/text — see commits

Changes

  • google.golang.org/grpc v1.82.1 → v1.83.1 (clears all three gRPC alerts)
  • Transitive updates pulled in: cloud.google.com/go/auth, genproto, go.opentelemetry.io/otel* v1.44.0, gax-go/v2, google.golang.org/api
  • Earlier commits on this branch bump golang.org/x/net and golang.org/x/text to satisfy the Trivy scan

Testing

  • go build ./... passes
  • go test ./... passes (services, types)
  • Pre-commit hooks pass (secrets scan, gofmt, go vet, golangci-lint, go build)

Resolves GHSA-2v4p-qf9q-27wj (high, xDS DoS), GHSA-vp52-pcj8-j9qc
(high, HTTP/2 DATA frame OOM), and GHSA-qc2q-p7wx-3px3 (medium,
xDS RBAC header bypass).
- google.golang.org/grpc v1.83.2 (CVE-2026-84445, DoS via malformed RPC requests)
- golang.org/x/net v0.60.0 (CVE-2026-78669, HTTP/2 SETTINGS frame DoS)
- golang.org/x/crypto v0.57.0 (CVE-2026-56854, ssh source-address auth bypass)
