Patch: the perf wiring on magic 0.0.24, plus credential masking in the HTTP adapter. This is wave 5 of the 2026-09-29 perf batch, published straight after magic 0.0.24, because 0.0.7 does not compile against it.

What ships

Everything below is from #22, and the CHANGELOG has all of it.

• Security: the HTTP adapter masks passwords and tokens before it hands a body to telescope.
• BREAKING: the perf path reads magic through MagicPerfHooks.sink, because MagicController.onRefreshUI is gone in magic 0.0.24.
• Request ids: HTTP records pair by request id.
• Spans: a span is linked from when it began.
• Insight: the mediaQuerySize insight describes a size-only subscription.
• Guard: the install guard is !kReleaseMode.
• Links: every record carries an interaction link, and perfTimelineReader and perfInsightContributors are assigned.

pubspec.yaml and the README install snippet (magic_devtools: ^0.0.8) are bumped, and the CHANGELOG is promoted to ## [0.0.8] - 2026-09-29. git grep -nF 0.0.7 -- ':!CHANGELOG.md' ':!*.lock' is empty.

After this

0.0.7 is to be retracted on pub.dev (Admin tab, within 7 days of its 2026-09-27 publish): a lockfile that holds it breaks on pub upgrade magic.
