The engine crossed a release line, so the spec this pull request lands is 0.4.0 while the site still called itself 0.3.x. `check-docs-version` went red exactly as designed, and the red is a decision, not a defect: freeze the old line or relabel in place. Relabelled. 0.3.x was the most widely published line so far, which would normally argue for a cut, but it is also the line whose paged reads never worked: a first-page request arrived with an empty `cursor`, that coerced to `0`, and every lobby and history list answered `200 []`. 0.4.0 is the fix, and the fix is a wire change, to opaque cursors and `nextCursor`. Freezing 0.3.x would have published a permanent, searchable description of a protocol whose lists are always empty, next to the one that works. Records the reasoning beside the 0.2.x precedent in both places that carry it, and moves the worked examples in CONTRIBUTING.md onto the new line so the freeze command someone eventually copies names 0.4.x.
