New Features

  • Each release might have different cat icon.
  • Shape extensibility model (preview). It is possible to define own shapes, and have them separately under application or user special folders.
  • OCR (Optical Character Recognition): When a selection area is active, floating action buttons now appear — Copy, Delete, and Extract Text. Clicking Extract Text opens the OCR window.
    • Windows: Uses the built-in Windows OCR engine (Windows.Media.Ocr), available on Windows 10 and 11. No additional software required.
    • Windows & Linux: Tesseract OCR is supported if installed and available in the system PATH.
    • The engine preference and selected languages are remembered between sessions.
    • Multiple OCR languages can be selected simultaneously.
    • Recognized text is displayed in an editable text box for easy copying and minor corrections.
    • A random cat appears in the OCR window, because why not.

Bug Fixes

  • Localize the Desktop/Menu icons.

Changes

  • Update some libraries.
  • Artifact names became better.
