Hi, I'm Shayon.
I'm a generalist software engineer based in Berlin, Germany.
I thrive in high-agency, low-bullshit environments, and I love taking on challenging problems.
I have a master's degree in mathematics, did research in AI alignment back in 2018, built a cybersecurity startup's platform from scratch, co-founded a startup and built its product end to end, and maintained about 100 packages in the nixpkgs ecosystem.
Some of my areas of expertise: frontend, full-stack development, machine learning, and AI-native engineering.
I'm looking for work. If you're building something ambitious and think I could help, get in touch.
A couple of recent fun side projects:
- Black October: an interactive look at a month of cybersecurity stories on Hacker News.
- Hacker Again: people keep building sites that collect things from Hacker News. I made a site that collects those sites.
