From your server, to your friends' desktops.
A self-hosted Minecraft server manager with a matching launcher. Host on your VPS, invite friends with one link — mods and all.
You rented a VPS. You want to run a modded Minecraft server and play with a few friends.
Today, that means:
- SSH into the VPS, install Java, Forge/NeoForge, copy mods over.
- Tell every friend the exact Minecraft version, the loader version, and the list of mods.
- When a friend's client doesn't match, they crash. You debug it over chat.
- You want to add a mod next week. Everyone has to manually update.
- Every single time.
Conduit MC turns all of that into one link.
Conduit MC is two things that talk to each other:
- Daemon — runs on your VPS. Installs loaders, manages mods, starts/stops multiple Minecraft server instances, exposes management API and public endpoints.
- Desktop — one app for everyone. Server owners get server management (search Modrinth, build modpacks, watch console, generate invite links). Friends get a game launcher (click an invite link, sync mods, launch, join). Same app, different views.

There are many great Minecraft launchers (HMCL, Prism, PCL2, Modrinth App). There are many great server panels (MCSManager, Pterodactyl, Crafty).
None of them talk to each other.
Conduit MC exists because:
- Server admins and players use different tools today, leading to version mismatches and painful onboarding.
- The
.mrpackformat is a beautiful standard — Conduit MC makes it the glue between your server and every friend's client. - Self-hosted should feel as easy as Minecraft Realms, without giving up control of your world.
- 🚀 One-link server join — friends click once, everything syncs
- 📦 Modrinth-first modpack management — search, add, update mods from the same app
- 🔄 Automatic client-server sync — if you add a mod, everyone gets it next launch
- 🖥️ Remote server control — manage your VPS server from any machine
- 🌍 Web panel (future) — lightweight management via built-in WasmJS web UI
- 🔐 Microsoft OAuth — proper account support, no login servers
- 🌐 Cross-platform — Windows, macOS, Linux
- 🆓 Free and open source — GPLv3, forever
We deliberately do not try to:
- ❌ Compete with CurseForge as a mod marketplace — Modrinth is our primary and only mod source in the MVP
- ❌ Build a hosted cloud service — your server, your rules, your data
- ❌ Support offline/cracked accounts as a headline feature — the project is safer without it
- ❌ Replace MCSManager or Pterodactyl — they're great at what they do, we focus on the host+friend experience
- Language: Kotlin (100% shared logic across all components)
- UI: Compose Multiplatform (Desktop + future WasmJS web panel)
- Server framework: Ktor (Daemon)
- DI: Koin 4.2
- Desktop navigation: JetBrains navigation-compose
- Modpack format: Modrinth
.mrpack(standard, no vendor lock-in)
🚧 Early development. Daemon is feature-complete — all 54 API endpoints, 187 automated tests, security audit passed. Desktop MVP covers pairing, instance creation, and server lifecycle (iterations 4-6 pending). Not yet ready for general use.
- v0.1 — Daemon + Desktop MVP (management + launcher) (Daemon feature-complete; Desktop in iteration 4/6)
- v0.2 — Invite link flow, full mod sync
- v0.3 — Modrinth mod search & management in Desktop
- v0.4 — Built-in Web panel (WasmJS, management-only)
- v0.5 — HTTPS auto-cert, backups
- v1.0 — Stable API, docs, plugin surface
Contributions are welcome once the initial architecture lands. For now, the best way to help is to open an issue describing your use case — real stories shape what we build.
GPLv3 — free to use, modify, and redistribute, but modifications must stay open.
Standing on the shoulders of giants:
- HMCL — the gold standard for Minecraft launchers
- Prism Launcher — the client that shows how mod management should feel
- Modrinth — for building the
.mrpackecosystem - MCSManager — for proving self-hosted panels can be friendly
Conduit MC
- Modrinth
- Koin 4.2 + JetBrains navigation-compose(Desktop
- Modrinth
- v0.1 — Daemon + Desktop MVP(管理 + 启动器)(Daemon 功能完整;Desktop 正在迭代 4/6)
- HMCL —— Minecraft
- Prism Launcher ——
- Modrinth ——
Made with ❤️ for Minecraft hosts and their friends.
