Version bump + changelog + README "New in 1.6" headline + badge refresh (957 tests, status v1.6). Also fixes test_auth_status_endpoint_shape to use asyncio.run() instead of get_event_loop().run_until_complete(), which RuntimeErrors in the full-suite context once an earlier async test closes the current loop.
