Celestial-Uprising is fully compatible with RHEL's Butane & Ignition; However, many users may find the following guide much quicker, easier, and smoother than the standard enterprise-style bootstrapping:
- Any of the Fedora Atomic Desktop ISOs will do:
wget https://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/fedora/linux/releases/44/Sericea/x86_64/iso/Fedora-Sericea-ostree-x86_64-44-1.7.iso- Burn the ISO image to something nearby, like a spare USB drive:
sudo dd if=${PATH_TO_DOWNLOADED_ISO} of=${PATH_TO_USB} bs=4M status=progress- Boot from the media contiaining the burned ISO;
- Follow installer prompts (timezone username password disks networking) as it applies to your machine;
- Then reboot into the initial system (don't forget to remove the USB drive!):
- Rebase to an UNSIGNED version of the selected spin of Celestial-Uprising:
sudo rpm-ostree rebase ostree-unverified-registry:ghcr.io/celestial-uprising/${IMAGE_NAME}:latest- and reboot into the UNSIGNED system:
sudo reboot- Rebase to a SIGNED version of the selected spin:
sudo rpm-ostree rebase ostree-image-signed:docker://ghcr.io/celestial-uprising/${IMAGE_NAME}:latest- Finally, reboot into your fully-signed spin of Celestial-Uprising:
sudo systemctl rebootCelestial Uprising is proudly built for all, by lesbidoodles and their coven of magical rabbits
