This one is a bit more tenuous because it will almost always be called from the ImageJ GUI with the data opened as an ImagePlus, and the input data is used only for its calibration. Consider reverting and using ImagePlus for these highly GUI/interactive plugins.
Slow wrapper tests in particular have been tricky to get to work.
This means that bonej-plus can use them too for consistent validation behaviour.
