4 / 16 / 9 strings (es / ja / ar) with no translation, falling back to English.
What changed
Every landing string (137 keys) was reviewed by Claude Haiku against the English and the glossary.
About 95 per language were rewritten, and all missing ones translated.
`` tags and `{placeholders}` were checked against the English: 0 mismatches.
Demo content stays as written in every locale, because it is there to show other languages:
the en → fr translation card ("Welcome back, Sarah" / "Bienvenue, Sarah !");
the Arabic text in the RTL preview;
the `en` / `fr` / `AR` language-code badges.
Sentences split across two keys now read correctly together:
footer "Made with ❤️ by…";
features heading. Japanese needs the reverse order: `ローカライズに必要なものが、` + `すべてここに。`
`Tailwind` was added to `neverTranslate`.
Babelize keeps these values. The lockfile records them with `metadata.manual`. A dry run of `babelize@1.0.17 translate --to es,ja,ar` on this branch re-translates nothing and changes no files.
Checked
`next start`: `/es`, `/ja` and `/ar` render with no leftover English phrases.
Lint, `format:check`, typecheck, tests and `build` all pass.
Worth a native glance
ja hero: `ローカライゼーション UI コンポーネントReact 向け。`. The highlighted span keeps "for React" second to match the layout; a native speaker might prefer the other order.
ar: Latin brand names joined directly to Arabic letters (`وreact-intl`).
Summary by CodeRabbit
Localization
Updated Arabic, Spanish, and Japanese translations across community, components, contribution, editing, FAQ, features, footer, getting-started, hero, and navigation content.
Added missing translated labels and FAQ responses in several locales, including theme, status, language, and menu options.
Updated terminology and phrasing for clearer, more consistent descriptions of product features, installation, and community content.
Tailwind is now kept untranslated in glossary-based translations.
The landing page was machine-translated by hosted NLLB: grammar broken
around glossary terms, wrong terms, Latin punctuation in Japanese, and
4/16/9 strings (es/ja/ar) still falling back to English. Every landing
string was reviewed by Claude Haiku against the English and the glossary;
about 95 per language were rewritten and the missing ones translated.
- Demo content that shows other languages stays as written in every
locale: the en -> fr translation card, the Arabic RTL preview and the
language-code badges.
- Sentences split across two keys (footer, features heading) were fixed so
they read correctly together, including Japanese word order.
- The lockfile records the new values with metadata.manual, so Babelize
keeps them: a dry run re-translates nothing and changes no files.
- "Tailwind" joins the glossary's neverTranslate (NLLB rendered it as
"tail wind").

The labels added in #100 weren't in .babelize/local/babelize-lock.json, so
the next babelize run would have re-translated them; they're recorded as
manual now. Locale keys are sorted the way Babelize writes them, so a
babelize translate dry run changes nothing.
