1. This project, ShortHealthAI, is an agentic AI medical question-answering system that integrates large language models with domain-specific external APIs such as PubMed and OpenFDA.
2. It leverages Meta-LLaMA 3 with efficient 4-bit quantization using bitsandbytes for resource-friendly inference.
3. The architecture features an iterative agentic loop combining multi-step tool use and reasoning to retrieve biomedical literature and drug data dynamically, producing accurate and evidence-backed answers.
4. Wrapped via LangChain and HuggingFace pipelines, it supports scalable, modular deployment for real-world medical AI applications.
