💡 What: Refactored LimsMiddlewareController's addResultToReport and addResultToReportPrevious to accumulate PatientReportItemValue items that need to be created and edited inside the loop. After the loop, it invokes patientReportItemValueFacade.batchCreate() and batchEdit() to perform batch database interactions.

🎯 Why: To eliminate an N+1 query issue where the facade methods create and edit were called individually inside iterations over PatientReportItemValue, which led to unnecessary multiple database trips and CPU cycles.

📊 Measured Improvement: We ran a benchmark LimsMiddlewareControllerPerformanceTest that simulated large data with 5000 items looping through conditions.

  • Baseline: Executed with 16,660 individual create calls and 8,340 individual edit calls, taking roughly 667ms (simulating heavy database I/O load).
  • Improved: Executed with only 10 batchCreate calls and 10 batchEdit calls, completing in roughly 142ms.
This is nearly a 4.7x speedup, mitigating high I/O blocking.

PR created automatically by Jules for task 4887965419245504324 started by @manupawickramasinghe

Refactored `addResultToReport` and `addResultToReportPrevious` to use batch inserts and updates instead of iterating and inserting rows individually.
