2. Give us access to highlighted selection
3. Allow us to set our own formatting (for tags / dictionary links)
4. Allow us to set our own syntax highlighting
5. Be multilingual
6. Clear out formatting from copy/pasted text
7. Be relatively small (we don't need the usual formatting)

• will have to build our own cursor, catch text input, allow pasting of potentially horridly formatted text.
