- Uses non-strict TypeScript for beginner-friendliness. To set it to strict, modify
tsconfig.json. - Uses App Router version of NextJS.
- Use TailwindCSS for utility CSS classes

- Create a new Supabase project
- Save your Supabase
URL,anon, andservice_rolekeys. - Click on
SQL Editoron the left navigation. - Click on
Quickstarts. - Click and run
User Management Starter.
- Run:
git clone https://github.com/UCLA-Creative-Labs/nextjs-supabase - Change your working directory into the repo:
cd nextjs-supabase - Install Node.js packages:
npm ioryarn add
- Create a new file in the repo called
.env.local. - Write your
URLandanonkeys to this file:
NEXT_PUBLIC_SUPABASE_URL=YOUR_SUPABASE_URL
NEXT_PUBLIC_SUPABASE_ANON_KEY=YOUR_SUPABASE_ANON_KEY
npm run dev
# or
yarn dev
# or
pnpm dev
# or
bun devOpen http://localhost:3000 with your browser to see the result.
You can start editing the page by modifying app/page.tsx. The page auto-updates as you edit the file.
This project uses next/font to automatically optimize and load Inter, a custom Google Font.
