Stressed out? Need to click until you feel better? Welcome to Ant & Estrés.
Ant & Estrés is the ultimate stress-relief clicker game where your finger is a lethal weapon and the enemy is the legendary, impossibly hard jawbreaker candy: the Cojón de Mamut.
Can you click mercilessly to break its layers, one after another, until you reach the center? Probably not. In that case, recruit an army of crazy ants who will work tirelessly while you focus on what truly matters: SMASHING THE CANDY!
- Addictive Stress-Relief: A frantic clicker designed purely for venting your daily frustrations.
- Army Management: Collect leaves to unlock and recruit unique ants, each with very... peculiar abilities.
- The Final Boss of Candies: Break the legendary "Cojón de Mamut" layer by layer.
- Absurd Humor: Packed with unexpected references, weird characters, and a completely unserious tone.
- Cozy Destruction: The perfect game to relax... by utterly destroying something.
This project was developed rapidly within a strict 1-week timeframe (Game Jam context), requiring a highly efficient and scalable codebase to allow simultaneous work from multiple developers and designers.
- Scriptable Object Architecture: Game data (ant types, costs, unlock conditions, and candy layers) is managed entirely through Scriptable Objects, allowing game designers to balance the economy without touching the code.
- Decoupled Systems: Implemented Scriptable Events and Scriptable Variables to decouple the core gameplay loop from the UI and audio systems. This modular approach prevented merge conflicts and allowed independent testing.
- Rapid Prototyping: The modular architecture allowed the team to iterate quickly, polishing the core clicker mechanics, economy, and visual feedback within days.
