page 119 - playing audio files (Mac) - rescan AU #10
It would be good to recommend to rescan AU plug-ins, in my case I am running Tahoe and AU plug-in were not showing on list available.
I following page 119 on (PDF) Playing audio files (Mac)
On Mac you can use a plug-in from Apple to play back audio files. Right-click in-
side the AudioPluginHost window again and from the pop-up choose Apple > AUAudioFilePlayer.
Force a full plugin rescan:
Inside AudioPluginHost:
Go to:
Options → Edit the list of available plug-ins
Click:
Clear list
Then Scan for new or updated plug-ins
If AUAudioFilePlayer exists, it should appear under:
AudioUnit → Apple
Thanks for reporting, Alex! It's true that initially the AU plug-ins may not be visible in AudioPluginHost. But I'm glad to see you figured out how to get them to show up. 😄
