I’m Tino, a Junior Software Developer who graduated top of my Bachelor of Information Technology class (2025).
I build applications across web and desktop using the JavaScript ecosystem.
Right now, I work in the agrifood space, building systems that connect suppliers, vendors, and customers at scale.
"Oh side note, I build prototypes for fun, actually got a game as well."
I am currently building a desktop story-driven RPG using JavaScript. It is powered by a custom JSON-driven narrative system and a recursive event engine designed to handle branching storylines, choices, and gameplay events.
It features:

- Character progression
- Inventory management
- File-based save/load states
- Game: JavaScript + Electron JS

Beyond development, I served as the Deputy Chairperson of the Nelson Mandela University Computer Society, where I helped organize student-focused tech initiatives and community events. One of the biggest highlights during my tenure was helping host the national Telkom 10X Hackathon, where the Eastern Cape region saw 147 attendees take part in the event. It was genuinely rewarding seeing students, developers, and creatives come together to build, compete, and learn from one another.
I was also part of the Digital Ubuntu Program, a Google-affiliated initiative through Nelson Mandela University. So technically, I can jokingly say I had my “FAANG arc” for a while. Jokes aside, the experience introduced me to incredible people, strengthened my technical and professional growth, and gave me the opportunity to contribute toward initiatives that positively impacted local communities.
More recently, through my work in the agrifood industry, I had the opportunity to attend the IBMA Conference, where I was exposed to international conversations around agriculture, business, innovation, and technology.
